Our Story

Picture this: Texas heat, university vibes, and two unlikely characters thrown into the mix. She's a track star from the sunny south, and he's a tennis enthusiast fresh off the boat from the Netherlands. Cue the "meet cute" on a wild Labor Day weekend party.

Our girl here waltzed up, striking a conversation that started with a language lesson (German? Nope, Dutch!). The kicker? He's 17, and she's legally buying drinks at 21. Talk about a Texan chuckle. They chatted, parted ways, and fate stepped in again on a random sidewalk encounter that turned into a Facebook friendship.

Fast forward to an ice cream date on his birthday (because he's finally 18). A couple hours in, he's asking to drive her car. Talk about direct Dutchness! But hey, she let him. The "What are we?" dance came to pass hear and there—jokingly asked, but never answered. Just a curious lingering.

Then, the plot thickens as they navigated through life. Dates turned into adventures—moving in together, adopting cats, international travels, and learning the quirks of each other's cultures. They even survived a move to the Netherlands, her Tex-Mex roots hitting a language barrier and nearly losing a cat (thankfully, the feline drama ended well).

In the midst of trips and celebrations that seemed prime for a proposal, the big question remained elusive. Until, lo and behold, in a casual French picnic setting, by a castle no less, after a decade of "What are we?", Fabian finally popped the question. Ten years in, and they are headed to the I DO's. Cheers to skipping the conventional and diving straight into the good stuff! Let's get these two love-birds (GO RUNNERS) married!
